On today's trail run I caught my left toe on a root and bent it WAAAAAY under. Now my top toe tendon (medical term) hurts. Lesson? Remember to swear when you sprain your toe. How long does a very mild one directional strain take to be better?
Best I can tell toe stubbing is one of the few truly real and significant hazards associated with BFR. Unlike the mythical threat from countless and somehow unavoidable shards of glass, used needles, and rusty nails I was sure would be waiting for me if I ventured out sans shoes.
Thus far I have not fully stubbed my toe... but I have had some near misses that made me take notice. My big toes are about as flexible as uncooked tubers... always have been. So I'm not looking forward to day one of those fellas finally connects with something like a root or rock.
