I live in Durham, North Carolina, and run about 1/2 on trails and 1/2 on roads. I've been doing most of this at a leisurely pace, my longest runs are currently 8-10 miles, but I am now doing a little more systematic training and plan to run a 1/2 marathon some time this fall.
Before I started running barefoot, I ran for fitness and hurt myself regularly. Since I started running barefoot, I've stopped hurting myself and started enjoying myself.
