Ran Columbia Gorge Half Marathon, out and back course, 1,960 feet elevation change, all pavement.
Was really going for speed this time.
Finished in 1:42, Placed 89 out of 1100.
Improved my time from last year by whole 6 minutes and set my new HM PR.

Yah, not nearly as satisfying as BFR, but it works. I'm thinking of trying barefoot swimming this winter.

Have been using mostly just kids face paint crayons in the past but switching to regular acrylic paint lately (easier to paint with, easier to remove later).

I think so too. Running barefoot is the culprit :( . The fun could be greatly reduced if I were running in shoes.

I so know that to be true. We need a thread that asks only die-hard barefoot runners if they'd rather run shod if they could no longer go barefoot, or give up running altogether. I start it.
