In this recent article (http://www.adventure-journal.com/2013/01/new-study-may-turn-barefoot-running-on-its-head/) about the GW Study, the Barefoot "Running" Society is mentioned...but wrongly: First, the writer states she saw guys in "green" shirts that read Barefoot Running Society back in 2005 at a marathon. We weren't founded until 2009, we are not the Barefoot Running Society, and we didn't select green (and blue) for our colors until 2012. I very seriously doubt a Barefoot Running Society exists. sigh. Whatevs.

The article is another about the latest study concerning habitually barefoot persons' strike patterns, of which we all know we "may" heel strike on the beach sand, grass, and softer surfaces than we do when we are on hard surfaces. sigh again.

I think she's pulling details from her mind just to write a story. Should we be flattered that she chose us to be in her fantasy?

Being generous, maybe she did see some barefoot guys in green shirts race past her in the past. Then while she was writing this article, she looked up BRS and then accidentally associated those guys with us. Memory is a funny thing, and not quite always reliable.

Writers are always looking for absolutes to contradict. There are no absolutes, well except people can't fly. Okay, some people heel strike when barefoot, great, great.
