That crap would be insane. Just saying. I am guessing I am outing myself as a nerd, but I think it would be pretty darn funny. After the kid's bedtime I pretty much just surf the net and watch some tube for a couple hours before hitting the sack... having a chatroom going would be pretty cool.

I used to know of some forum

I used to know of some forum back in the 90s that had a chat room and then had transcripts up in the forum. I would think that is too much work now days though. This was back when everyone used chat rooms. I don't think I have been in a chat room since AOL in the 90s.
