I was there! and I was barefoot! I did hear there was another barefooter, so there was 2 of us. It was a perfect day for a race wasn't it? I was in corral #5 and started with a guy also wearing sprints, I saw 3 or 4 others in VFF's(maybe I saw you?)

It's a great course for a barefoot runner, the only rough part is the last couple miles the road gets a bit rough but there were some lines where it was a little worn so it wasn't too bad. Did you notice the cambor of the road in the last mile or so?

Sounds like you hit the bands just right, there were a couple playing when I went by but most were inbetween songs or playing the Eagles fight song. (I was going to scream if I heard E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!! one more time!)

Training-wise I went all summer gradually increasing until I maxed out at about 12 two weeks before the race. Then I began to taper off. But it was definitely a gradual build up to it.

Larry, I did it in 2:05:11. Hopefully I can improve on that next time.
