The barefoot runner is a person who is not getting sucked into all the shoe hype.(cushioning, control, etc...) They are logic thinkers who want to get back to how we were CREATED! What a gift!

The analogy with Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is just wrong! Asics are in the majority not the minority (look at the running shoes in your local sports store anywhere in the world) Asics are building on the successful business model invented by Nike - this being a massive public relations success. Asics would then be comparable with the "consensus" who accept the similar massive PR phenomenon of AGW despite there being zero valid scientific data to back it up.

All of the original tennets behind the first Koyoto Protocol have been proven to be wrong. The famous "hockey stick" curve exploited later by Al Gore was shown to be caused by an omission of data - later found on the same hard drive by another scientist. The Vladivostock ice core samples that correlated CO2 and global temperatures were later shown to be completely the wrong way around - the temperature rises first then the CO2 goes up! The entire business is dependent on mathematical models that are inherently unreliable - the list is endless!

Science doesn't work by "consensus" but politics and funding do. So does marketing. The guy jogging on his heels in his expensive Asics will no doubt be an employee of Al Gore - the first predicted billionaire from controlling the sale of carbon credits (through Goldman Sachs investment and in the UK)- and basically destroying Western economy, stifling development in poor countries and landing you with one massive hike in your cost of living - plus a massive drop in your standard of living. Why? Perhaps jogging on the heels damages the brain.
