Come on, all. You can take part in this challenge. You don't have to have autism. Just chose one day in April, walk barefoot in an area that challenges your senses, then share a picture at https://www.facebook.com/BarefootAutismChallenge/. Let's support Tyler and the Barefoot Autism Challenge!
You can share your picture/video on the Facebook page, and you can also share it to BRS so everyone can see the fun taking on the challenge!
PLEASE check out the new artwork for the Barefoot Autism Challenge on their Facebook and (https://www.facebook.com/BarefootAutismChallenge/) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/AutismBarefoot) pages. Skedaddle, BRS member, was kind enough to create the artwork for Tyler's new organization. Show your support by Liking these pages and thanking both Tyler and Sked for their hard work to do better in this world. You can read about the Barefoot Autism Challenge's Mission Statement here:

Update: Not only did we get 50 like on the Facebook page as of today, but Kris Steinmetz of the Autism Society of Iowa asked me to be on the board of directors! I still am in disbelief. They'll be emailing me a form to fill out and have them send over to Kris for review. I'm so excited!!! #barefootautismchallenge
Thank you TJ! I'll keep sharing my page with the autism groups I can find. Feel free to let me know if you find more groups if you can.
Kris Steinmetz is letting the other autism society's around the globe know about my challenge just in case they haven't seen the messages I sent them.
Hey, Tyler, I can participate but I won't be posting anything anywhere, as I don't do facebook or anything else, just this place from time to time and I don't take pictures either.
Oh that's okay Dana. I got an idea. Since you don't do pictures, perhaps you can write a post describing your experience and everything. What do you say?
My friend Aly Olson, 2014 Miss Iowa, shared my autism challenge on her Do One Thing: Diversity Everyday page and she said she would share the challenge on her personal page in a few days. She's very proud of me!
This is insane you guys!! The barefoot autism challenge page is almost at 70 likes! I didn't think I would get that many!! It's even been shared by Sierra Larson. A barefooter with an autistic son
I threw out an idea to Kris Steinmetz of the Iowa Autism Society about the April board meeting having everyone show up in bare feet for my challenge, and she thought it was a great idea!
