Perhaps you could make some yourself. Someone suggested those here to me, but I can't remember who. The craft store probably carries pieces of leather.

I always prefered the contact of leather (vs rubber), so I got some thick cow rawhide leather from Tandy Leather once.

It works pretty well for huaraches. You can always glue some very thin Vibram rubber sheet to it.

Since I never liked having a cord between my toes, I am working now on making something different using some 3/4 inch

strap (got it from REI).

Will post pics when I am done with that project
