I've heard rumblings of a minimalist running clinic from "on high" at the Air Force level for a few weeks now, and it seems this might be the start of something (and barefoot, no less!!! Yay!) . Dr. Cucuzzella is a USAF Reserves Lt Col and is the medical consultant for the Air Force Marathon (an accomplished marathoner himself). He also runs the Two Rivers Treads Center for Natural Running and Walking (http://www.trtreads.org/).

I can't wait to see how this will filter down through the rest of the AF. I already hung my Barefoot Runners Society flyers up in the base gym with permission, the folks at the Health and Wellness Center on base also have my flyer to hand out, so I'm hoping folks start latching on to it. Pretty exciting stuff!

And he's also a resident

And he's also a resident doctor in the Ask a Doc forum here at the BRS. ;-)
