I've been going nearly-continuously barefoot for about 17 years now. Yet, I have to admit that, when I see another barefoot person in a non-beach environment, it still looks weird to me.

I am always amazed by which of my blog posts take off. Often they are the ones that I just didn't feel like writing, that I feel I just didn't get right, and that I nearly bagged. I was sure on this one that I'd get a lot of flack from the comparison to speedos. (No, I do not wear board shorts, and I'm about to head to a Costa Rica resort for my niece's wedding, and expect to get flack. So this was to some extent a rant about that--well hidden though, right?)

I like your blogs. I think you are extremely intelligent and always well-informed on your subject...which we can't say for most bloggers. I think you should be paid to write.

Then I started reading other articles and found all those really interesting and well written.
