I all of a sudden started having pain in my left bottom of my foot just posterior to the 4th and 5th metatarsal heads after a harder run. I only run completely barefoot. I rested it for a week doing only walking and half my distance runs and it seemed like it was getting better. Yesterday, I climbed a mountain with a lot of rocks and gravel barefoot and it flared up again.
What should I do now? Should I go back to doing half distance runs and more walking or should I rest it more? It does not hurt that much when I walk or run on flat ground, more when I press it with my fingers.
I have been doing more rolling pin work on the bottoms of my feet. I don’t know if that could have aggravated it.
Thanks,
Jim
