    Just checking in

Hi friends. I haven't posted here in a while, so I thought I would drop in a quick update. I've been running almost exclusively barefoot over the summer, averaging about 10 to 20 miles a week. I've dropped about 20 pounds since the last time I was here. Now in the 230's. I'm still slow, but my...

    Think I broke a toe

https://photos.app.goo.gl/5ROXDqkLeEYwL3FZ2 Whacked a root pretty hard yesterday. Was in VFF's. Didn't think much of it, just a little sore. This morning it still doesn't feel great, and it's bruised pretty good. It was a nice run besides that. Hope everyone is doing well. It's almost Spring!

    Increasing my overall barefoot time

Hi friends. Haven't been on in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. This has been my first winter as a barefoot runner. I didn't think the cold weather would have such a negative impact on my running time, but it has. I have a pair of VFF's and Xero's, and had planned on using them to run...

    First run of 2018

I got a quick 1.25 miles (2km) around the neighborhood this morning. It is cold here, 15F/-9.4C. It was the first time I have run in my Xero hikers. They kept my feet warm, but the experience is so dull compared to barefoot. I'll be glad when winter is over. Denice got me some Running Buddy...

    Discolored points of contact?

Hi friends, I've been getting some discolored patches at the points of contact on my feet (ball and heal mostly). It happens when I take my shoes off from being at work all day. My soles are a little soggy from sweating. These places are clammier than the rest of my feet, and usually pale...

Signed up to do my first 5K... barefoot

I signed up tonight to do my first 5K, the Subway Race against Cancer, in Knoxville Tennessee, on November 12th. I'm running barefoot, or at least I'm going to try. My company is sponsoring us, so they may have liability issues with me going natural, which is why I'm not going to tell them until...

    Hello, from Maryville Tennessee

Hello friends, My name is Erick. A little about me: I just turned forty. Married to a wonderful lady. Have three dogs. Live near the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. I've been a couch potato my entire life, with the exception of the occasional hiking excursion. A year ago I was bending the...
