Zombie apacolypse. Barefoot runners. BRS plug.

Got bored sitting around one day talking about zombies and watching zombie movies.

Personally, I am hoping to

Personally, I am hoping to take refuge in a super wally world and barricade myself in. Food, furniture, ammo in some cases, and lots of shopping carts to block the doors to the zombie hordes. Plan B is to get the heck out of dodge along with a million other folks. I may have to run for it. Good thing I'm a fan of barefoot running. ;-)

Eric, I turned my ankle once

Eric, I turned my ankle once BFing. I was trying to run a trail along a meadow and they'd not mown in a few weeks. The grass was so long I couldn't see or even feel the dried muck footprints I strayed into until my ankle rolled. That's once, in hostile conditions, in 14 months of BFR.

Have you read World War Z? It's one of the best zombie lit works I've ever seen....well, it's the only one I've read, but it was still really cool. Clearly some people think way too much about these things.

That was really funny. Im thinkin in the impending event of a zombie apocalypse, it would be best to head to the country. possibly an abandoned farm or mountainous region.

Agreed, this has always been my plan. I figure if it happens while I'm in this area there is no hope and I am in fact a goner. But assuming it holds off a few years, I will be running to the most remot area I can find.

Actually I think minimal shoes would be better in the case of this though. People are so weirded out by bare feet they may see them and mistake you for a zombie. Who wants to take even the most mimimal a risk of that.

Zombies wear shoes also. My guess is they would be more concerned about if you had blood on your face and crazy eyes or rotting flesh rather then what you had on your feet.

I have not read World War Z. I plan to though when I get some more down time around here. I have read the zombie survival guide and watched a bunch of movies on the subject. I started to read the zombie survival guide because the guys we replaced here in afghanistan left it for us to read and been reading and watching ever since.

Studies show that the leading cause of death by zombies is zombies.

Funny but so true.  And

Funny but so true. And flattering as well. How did we miss getting you our Stomp of Approval? If you would like us to Stomp your site, please email Miker at [email protected], and ask him to hook you up courtesy of TJ. You'll get a nice and shiny Stomp to place on your site. ;-)

But beware, many zombies are

But beware, many zombies are also barefoot, er, stumblers (lunchers? creepers? draggers?). Or minimalist in the sense that at some point during their clawing climb from the grave they lost one of the shoes their loved ones buried them in.
