IBRD at the Washington Monument in DC was great!

NYAB made a special event of it with a registration table and a banner, and he even got someone from the press. We had almost thirty people there, and made a few loops around the Monument.

He took some great photos too.

Hey, thanks for the post Athena. You beat me to it! Yes, it was a fantastic turnout of barefoot/minimalist runners and great people supporting those running. Here are a few pics of the event: Just getting set up at the Washington Monument Striking a few poses NBC stopped by to have a look at the event and our cool "monkey" shoes Most of the group just before we set out for a few laps Looking forward to an even bigger and better IBRD next year!!!

thanks for your posts and for the great pictures. Now, that is what I call national exposure! I love the banner in front of the Washington Monument.

We had all hoped that IBRD would be a monumental event. Now, we have it on film!!!

And your 20-30 participants makes it one of the biggest events!

Congratulations, and thanks for the effort in making IBRD happen in DC.
