Had a great run in the rain again today. Was not sure how my legs were going to hold up today. I have had a rough time of late with my right leg cramping while transitioning to minimal running. I have had so much fun watching my progress, and listening to my body to minimize injury. Today seemed like a break through. I ran uphill for 1.5, running slow, but methodical. I ended up loggin in 3.41 miles in 40 mins. I felt going up a dirt/rock road was perfect, and the inclide was gradual, but gentle. Coming down felt like I was working different muscles, and felt like my calves were given a break. I am pretty tired right now, but feel loading up with electrolytes before/after the run was the ticket. Actually my best run since the start of the year with or without shoes.
Here is my workout log. Hopefully I will be able to run the upcoming 15k in my backwoods on the 23rd. Any suggestions on making it a reality? What should I focus on. I am currently building my miles up, but am worried that 9 miles will kill my feet. The run on single track, and has big elevation gain. Here is a post of it.
