Some of our barefoots running group took a break from running and volunteer roles at our local parkrun which was cancelled due to the fireworks night (UK). So we thought we would run at Whitstable parkrun. As usual other runners looking at us like we are mad in particular with the temperature being just above zero degrees C. As usual once we had run the 5K course a lot of respect and inquisitive questions from other runners and a lot of 'well done's. I have been running barefoots for 6 years now however the guy in the middle (Andrew) is up to 11K barefoots and only started running barefoots late June this year and the guy on the left (Clayton) was only on his 7th barefoots running session. The interesting thing is Clayton has a very visible limp when running in trainers from an accident he had a few years ago but when running totally barefoots his limp is all but gone. I am currently helping a university student with her third year project to run barefoots and this is being filmed and documented. She too has noticed how Clayton's limp is all but eradicated when running totally barefoots.
