3 miles today before while heading down a slight hill I got the worst ITBS type pain in my RIGHT knee this time. Walked back to work. Rolled immediately. Gonna keep rolling and icing. Supposed to run 25 as my last long run tomorrow. CRAP!
Although the first week of the year was a writeoff, I met my goal of 10+ miles this week. My weekends are typically reserved for bike riding with my kids, so see you all Monday.
Alright I did 5 yesterday and 4 today. Achilles still hurts like a bitch for the first mile but then it goes away. I'm going to try to run 4 days next week.
Walked down the hall and into the kitchen a few times with one foot and the heel of my "bad" foot, while trying to take care of my rambunctious five year old all day. Ouchie momma! My hubby pointed out that my bad foot will be my good foot in another four days. Yikes!
Ran 3 yesterday and my right knee got so painful I had to stop so cancelled my 25 today. Ran 5 and it was fine. So I will try to get up at 4 tomorrow to do 25 or maybe 26.2. I have until 9am when I have to get ready for church.
I have two rambunctious boys (9 and 5). My 9 year old goes to school all day, and he's pretty much able to take care of himself (I did a good job that way.) , although I do make sure he gets on the school bus.
Kilometers sound better, I always feel cheated out of a ton of distance when using miles so here goes:
Barefoot: 10+16 km on the treadmill
Shod, minimally of course: 11.3 km
Tomorrow I'm shooting for three hours on the treadmill. Should be fun, or maybe not. Weekly total should be about 60 km.
The week's most interesting experience? Thawing out my beard after my run tonight. 90 minutes in -10C meant it took a couple of minutes of warming my beard with my hands before it stopped feeling crispy.
