Water Walking as Cross Training.

I've already been to the beach this morning. I wanted to swim but it was a little chilly so after I dunked myself a few times I decided to walk out and investigate a new sand bar. Boy walking in water really gives a lot of resistance when you pick up your feet! I wondered if water walking might be a good addition to cycling, walking, running, and weight lifting?
 
plus its enjoyable. Grew up on Lake Michigan all my life and boy, even just playing in the water is a good workout. Especially if the tide is strong that day (granted you have to be careful)...but a great workout
