Hey Guys - I got to go on a beautiful trail run Saturday and snapped a bunch of cell phone pictures along the way (was carrying it for GPS tracking) and thought it would be a cool idea to set up a thread for everyone to share some good run-scenery pics!
Hmm, do you guys want to see the gas station I ran by today? Or the elementary school? Actually sometimes I do run by horses; I will have to get a pic of that.
Beautiful! Absolutely breathtaking. I'm surprised you cell phone took such good-quality pictures. Where abouts in TN are you? I have family there and travel through there quite a bit.
ha ha, I hear you Beth! Most of my runs are by gas stations and a bunch of parked cars! That's why I was excited about these. I don't ever trail run, but Man - seeing those sights will make you catch the bug!
TJ I live in Oak Ridge - Just outside of Knoxville in East TN
(The pictures are from Pickett State Park North of Crossville in middle TN)
PS I'm thrilled with the quality too - just got the phone, it's a Droid 2 (actually a Droid R2D2...because I'm a dork
What great pictures! I don't think I'd be able to run there; I'd be too busy stopping and admiring the view.
You're not the only geek around Levi; my license plate used to say SEA3P0 (I live in FL and used to spend a LOT of time at the beach, so the pun was relevant).
Great looking trails you have to run along, I could do with a few more like that myself. There is not much left of Australia's native forests, most of them have been chopped down and woodchipped.
I did a bit of barefoot hiking in the Abel Tasman park a year or so ago, would have been great running it.
Here are a few from last weekends run. Its First Landing State park in Virginia Beach. There are some great trails and except for the gravel its barefoot friendly.
I almost stepped on these lovebirds. If I'd known they were copperhead snakes I probably wouldn't have gotten that close for the pic.
