So, last week I was running a 10k and it was a bit cold but i'm getting accustomed to it. However, towards the end I guess I was not really feeling it and had a hard time keeping relaxed form, next thing I know I step directly on a rock. My god did that hurt; first time ever. Guess I need to pay attention. At least it was a very smooth rock but it was a full on impact right on the arch. I was limping at first and had to walk some of the way back. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have the nasty habit of legs getting straighter the more tired I get. I dunno about you guys, but afterwards I can feel it in my feet if I was impacting too hard. It's a strange sensation in the bones. It'd be nice to be able to run and not feel a thing; few and far between those are for me, at least for now.
Fast forward to last saturday, I did a 6k and it was fine at first then became sore towards the end. It's still sore now. I'm pretty sure there isn't any damage to the bone. Soft tissue injury is usually sore and stiff overnight and better as it moves, ya? Which is the case with this.
Always seems like crap like this happens right when there is something new you want to try with BFR, like a 10k next thursday. I'm not running at all until then; I'll just stick with some daily calisthentics for now and take it easy.
