Thursday afternoon
The front of my left shoulder felt really, really sore from the overhead back extensions of the previous day's 'middle' st session, so I used that as an excuse not to run and continue on in work-obsessed mode. Plus, it made sense to put an extra day of rest in between my st workouts, since the next st workout is chest and shoulders and I wanted to give the left shoulder time to recover completely before doing that.
Friday afternoon
6.66 mi / 10.7 km total
6 mi / 9.6 km running
69 F
Ran .6 mi down to the junior high school track, then ran 4 miles at 8:15 mm pace, with my fastest mile, the first one, at 7:43 mm pace, then a mile and a half at 8:07 mm pace, and then a much slower mile and a half at 8:40 mm. Walked a hundred yards and then ran a bunch of slower aerobic laps on the grass, and then ran up a few hills on the way to pick up my daughter at Discovery Club. 8:56 mm pace overall.
Pace continues to pick up, which is nice. My feet seem to have adapted fully to the track's sandy gravel now too, which is also nice.
There were two other runners on the track for part of the time I was there. One guy was late 20s/early 30s, also husky, doing 220 intervals. The other guy was about my age but with a svelte runner's build. He slowly passed me in the middle of my faster paced four miles, but then quit soon afterwards. Felt good to know I can almost keep up with a guy who looks like a real runner. The younger guy waved to me as he entered the track, the older guy just ignored my attempt at hello. I wonder if my bare feet made him run faster than he wanted to . . .
The garage is my husband's place and it's out of bounds for me-thank GOD! he has way too much stuff in there.
Women get the house, men get the garage and/or basement. And they say it's a man's world.
I was out in the woods for almost 3 hours, running, walking, and hiking - probably 7ish miles?

Not sure if I will be able to get to my pregnant wifes hunnie do list
At least your wife has a list. Mine tells me random stuff when I’m half-asleep.
