Hi,
I have been poking around for a little while, so I thought I would introduce myself.
I started running barefoot about 5 months ago now. I was under the impression that it was something I could learn and adapt to quickly. I was so wrong.
Prior to running barefoot you would never have seen me even in my house with bare feet. In fact I was in skates much more frequently, because I was on a speed skating team. I also played volleyball on a league. I tend to do one thing at a time, but to the extreme even including graduating from P90X.
My goal is to run injury free, enjoy all of my runs, and win races. Maybe run a marathon in a couple of years. I would also like to hike mountains in Acadia National Park barefoot this summer.
The people here are very supportive and it is much appreciated.
Jim
