Okay, okay, okay! I couldn't stand it anymore. Sorry Sked. I just had to change the title from Do you remember you're first outing barefoot? to Do you remember your first outing barefoot? I know it was just a typo, but it was driving me crazy every time I saw it! Teasing, of course.
TJ was aware of this. I emailed her about it. It said the security certificate expired two days ago. The developers are working on it.It's why I ended up an illustrator and not a novelist.
On another note I keep getting a message in Safari that the certificate for BRS is invalid, not sure if it's from my end though, as i'm really good at screwing up technology and am sure one day I will single handedly crash the interweb by pressing enter.
What a sad story that I could have been a part of before I came too the realization that going barefoot is not bad or harmful.I was 4 the first time I went out barefoot.
My dad was a barefooter, but not too avid about it. He was just barefoot 90% of the time and put on shoes when he had to.
Well being a kid I wanted to be like him. I tried leaving the house a few times without shoes, but my mum wouldn't let me leave the yard without shoes on.
One day I snuck into the car when we were going to my grammas, without my shoes.
Our car ended up stalling 2 blocks from her house.
When we got out and my mum saw my feet, she got mad and yelled at me, but there were no shoes in the car to put on so she told me if I got hurt, it was my fault.
We walked the 2 blocks and made it to my grammas.
My grandpa wouldn't let me in the house till i washed my feet on the porch (he was a big stickler about lots of things) and then when my dad showed up to fix the car, he brought shoes that they made me put on.
I never done restaurants or stores. Better safe than sorry for me.My kids are always going around barefoot to stores and restaurants. I think I'm setting a good example.

My supervisor said I can't take my shoes off on my breaks or when leaving work because it's "unprofessional" as if what I do on my breaks or after work affect my job skills.Yeah I wear shoes when I'm at work, when it's necessary, or when I absolutely have to.
Sorry to hear that. It must be one of those places that is so strict about a dress code or something. I just told my employer I was doing it for a cause and they were AOK with it.My supervisor said I can't take my shoes off on my breaks or when leaving work because it's "unprofessional" as if what I do on my breaks or after work affect my job skills.
I'm admittedly her best worker too.
I work in housekeeping at an outside mall. Half the people don't even wear uniform. She has a hatred of bare feet cause whenever I mention anything about going somewhere barefoot, she has this disgusted look.Sorry to hear that. My little trick is wearing sandals and then taking them off when I get to the table, but keeping my feet sitting on the sandals themselves so the restaurant can't complain if they so happen to see them.I never done restaurants or stores. Better safe than sorry for me.
