We have a long dry season here in Southern California, so the return of rain is something to celebrate. It turns the trails from fun-and-dusty to fun-and-muddy, something I tried to document in a short video I put together this week. Hope you enjoy it; you can tell by the crazed look in my eyes I sure did . . .
I think our, potentially, muddy trails are about to get frozen for the next several weeks. It'll probably be late Spring before I can explore them again barefoot.
Thanks for the comments . . . and the reminder that the "winter" weather around here should not be taken for granted . . . whatever other problems So Cal has (and there are plenty), it's barefoot paradise in terms of mild temps.
Happy Trails!
Yeah, that would be fun Thea.
I have to confess I haven't done much BF hiking this year, unfortunately.
Work and bicycling taking up too much of my time, but I will have some time off before and after Christmas.
Maybe we can set something up.
