Had my first round of the year on the weekend, barefoot of course. My score was about normal for me and I noticed no difference in ball striking. I was worried that while barefoot that I would be hitting fat, but that did not happen. Side effect, do not walk in trees looking for lost ball, them damn acorn husks hurt.
You think that's bad, shoot. Just about every stinkin tree in the park near my house is a sweet gum tree with those spiky gum balls all over the ground. Tread very carefully or it's *ouch* *ouch* *ouch*
Maybe that is why the course is called River Oaks. Lol. But then again if I was to have hit the ball straight as opposed a banana ball (blaming the wind), I would not have had to go tip toeing through the trees looking for a wayward ball.
