Thanks Chris for sharing this. We have a little motley crew of trail runners here in Oregon that meet on a pretty regular basis who also enjoy "the goofy thrill of banding together in the face of slippery awfulness." We have a 30.4 mile trail here (Wildwood trail) that would fit the 50km Fat Ass formula. We'll keep everyone posted on that one!
