Anyone follow a ketosis diet plan?

I read a lot of folks go by the smell of acetone on their breath to check if they are still in ketosis.

I don't know for sure, but I'd expect acetone breath to be like ketones in the urine - and those goes away when you get fully into starvation mode. People also call it keto-adapting when the body becomes much more efficient at using ketones, so they don't get excreted.

You can get acetone smell after 1 hour running, but its means you used fat (ketones) as fuel together with glucose. Its not ketosis. At ketosis you using only ketones as fuel.

Whilst not strictly ketosis, I've always tended to eat more meat/fats and less carbs. I found that I could never recover probably in this diet and added things like pasta to good effect thereafter. Everyone's body is different so perhaps beneficial, perhaps not.
