TOFP (I finally figured out what this means!)

Dang! I think I really blew it. On Sept 25th I ran my first 5K...Woman's 1/2 Marathon (with a 5K) in Nashville. I had been running fine...5k...barefoot and in my VFF's....for a little while and was fine.

Within the first block of the race...I felt something weird on the top of my left foot. If I had been home I would have stopped. But I had paid money...hyped all my friends...got up early...husband at the finish line for pictures...5,000 people around me...etc...etc...and I couldn't quit!

Now...over 2 weeks later...I am still having pain. It's not all the time though...which then gives me hope that I'm better...and I'll go run/walk again. I've also been doing more eliptical just trying to stay in action while not putting too much pressure on the foot.

Is it normal for this pain to come and go? Could it be broken and not be in pain all the time?

I'm very bummed!
