Paris in August

Did some Googling. Appearantly, Paris is a ghost city in August. Steph and I will have the place to ourselves!

Yep, all the French take August off and go on holiday to the beaches.

Paris is likely to stonkingly hot in August though

Is Paris a barefoot runner friendly city?

I wouldn't know. Being a large city I'd be conscious of broken glass and dog sh!t, but should be no worse than anywhere else
