I ran a 5k yesterday, it was my first barefoot one, the last time I ran a 5k I think I was around 11 or so. It was the first 5k that this local pizza resturant was sponsoring.

The race started at 9:00am and temp was around 45 degrees, not to cold. I walk around with some heavy socks, and wore them at the starting line right until the start. My time was 23:07, my right foot was still not 100% going into this race and I tweaked it even more, another setback but that is fine. I have a 5 mile race next so I will rest up and hopefully be ready.

Coming into the finish line the race annoucer says. "and we have our first official barefoot runner, if you are looking for a prize too bad you don't get one" I kind of laughed but then thought about, it was kind of a douchey thing to say. Then it was free pizza and beer at 9:30am, the best part.

My take on 5k's, not really a fan but they are fun.

You should have yelled back,

You should have yelled back, "I don't need YOUR prize! I already have mine!"

Awesome Adam!I know what you

Awesome Adam!

I know what you mean about a 5k.

The race is over way before you get into a groove.

Take care of that foot.
