Even with shoes, I take them off when entering a house. People in Asia got this one right.

It's funny though, sometimes when I'm a guest to someone's house and I take off my shoes, I sometimes get a little side-eye. Like, 'No socks?!' But I think they more grateful for me taking off my shoes. Confusion entails.

I agree. It's gross to wear shoes inside. All the dog poop and yuck on the ground gets transferred inside.
