Hi all. I am pretty new to running and any major physical activity (outside of a few step aerobics and yoga classes in college). I have been lurking on this site for awhile and decided to make an account today. I have been barefoot or minimalist now for the past month and I can almost run two miles! Now that NE Ohio is coming out of it's never ending winter I can finally go skin-to-the-ground barefoot and I am very exited. Thank you all for this site, it has been very inspiring and motivating.
Way to persevere, Michelle, and welcome to the crew. Stick with it, and you'll love it. Truly barefoot running is so much more fun than even minimal. Keep your progress slow and steady, and enjoy!
Welcome fellow Ohioan! I spend plenty of time up in that corner of the state as well. Looking forward to the warmer weather we are suppose to get the next few days!
