I love that paragraph about Vibrams not being barefoot. Lately I have been wearing shoes again for half of my runs and I have to admit the perceived effort is very apparent. As soon as I take them off there is an immediate change. And I have been doing this for a while, this shouldn't affect me, right? Wrong. There is a difference, in my experience at least.

Anywaygood article.Matt is really changing his tune as time goes by.

The article makes me happy, with the exception that the idea that barefoot running can only happen on grass seems to live on. It makes me wonder of the general public will ever understand that barefoot on manmade surfaces is perfectly fine.

It's been the same for me, and I have been at this for over 2-1/2 years now. Even a pair of huaraches makes me work harder. Take them off, and I start flying, well this turtle flutters, but you get the point. ;-)
