Clip in cycling shoes for BF feet?

@HumboldtI've got @Humboldt I've got rediculously wide feet and can't stand narrow shoes. The Sidi Doms are by far the best shoe I've worn or tried. All other cycling shoes I've tried, I've lost feeling in my toes after an hour on the saddle. That being said, they are more narrow feeling...

Clip in cycling shoes for BF feet?

Sidi Dom Mega's have been Sidi Dom Mega's have been pretty good to me. About as wide as I think it gets in the way of good quality cycling shoes. Their durability kinda justifies the cost. I've really dogged mine for years and they don't even show wear.

Careful out there...A Fractured Baby Toe

TJ, I  can run, but only TJ, I can run, but only barefoot. Any footwear is too constricting. Unfortunatley, its been a little too cold to barefoot for me lately so I'll probobaly just run the mill for a week or so.

Careful out there...A Fractured Baby Toe

I've been barefoot running for a couple of years. Barefoot trail running for 1 1/2 years. I pride myself on staying focused as I know this is critical to avoiding injury on technical barefoot runs. I've managed to avoid any real injuries up until now. For a moment a few days ago, I lost...

Other than footwear, are you a minimalist triathlete?

I'm not sure if I'd consider I'm not sure if I'd consider it minimalist, maybe more simplistic, but I ride singlespeed. Both road and alot of mountain biking. The simplicity of not having more parts to fail, also, making me a much stronger rider has me sold on it.

STEM Footwear (soon to be released)

That's a great explanation of That's a great explanation of the appearance of the toe spring. The fabric over the toe will draw it upward in order to keep it snug to the foot. While being worn, it should be flat. I also agree that everyone is being way too critical of these. How about some...

Is this as bad of an idea as I think it is?

He should be fine at that He should be fine at that distance. I would encourage Crossfit type workouts as they require alot of stability in the exercises. Burpees, box jumps, cleans, among others, require stability and strength. If his feet adapt to that, running will be pretty easy.

    Newton Natural Running Panel 2010

I think the approach from the I think the approach from the majority of shoe manufacturers to jump on the minimalist bandwagon is typical. Most, not all, are really just concerned about the share of the market they might be missing, as opposed to offering a better alternative to the mess...

My first pair of Zems are My first pair of Zems are pretty much toast. The plasti-dip has helped but its time for more drastic measures. I've seen the post about using an old mountain bike tire for a haurache and have been inspired. I'm going to use some urethane adhesive and stick it to the...

    Best barefoot trail 'shoe'?

Thanks Jason!  Looks like Thanks Jason! Looks like I'll be forking it out for the Evo IIs. I'll just have to deal with the lack of traction until February. I would rather sacrifice that than have to run with the dead feeling rockplate in the mt100's.

    Best barefoot trail 'shoe'?

I've got a similar problem I've got a similar problem being in need of shoes for winter trail running. Last year, my saucony shay xc flats and mt100's did the trick. Unfortunatley, after a summer of barefooting, the flats are too narrow and the mt100's feel like boots. My mother-in-law gave...
