Who has quit barefoot running? This guy

Well, it isn't for everyone.

Well, it isn't for everyone. At least he admits he may have been doing it wrong, and is willing to try it again some time. Nice that the news has to seek out people who fail at it just to get the "balanced-reporting" angle.

I wish they would give more

I wish they would give more detail. You know pertinent stuff like how long he had been at it. In that pic it looks like he is overstriding, maybe not so much the more I look at it? I wonder if he has even thought about form adjustments?

Im not too sure how that

Im not too sure how that warranted a story in the news. from the picture i agree with abide, it looks like hes over-striding. Also, if his skin kept on coming off and blistering then why not stop running when a hotspot starts to form? it only takes a few blisters after ignoring hot spots when you start out to learn that lesson.

My BF went to UNC years ago,

My BF went to UNC years ago, so I had to sort of giggle at that. But as to the article and the subject...not entirely sure what the point of it was. Yeah, if he failed to do any sort of research and attempt to educate himself, of course he ended up failing at it. The article itself almost seems like it's there to spark a debate in that area. Can't help feeling that way given the lack of development.
