I want to collect as many "new-age high-tech" labels you see on shoe advertisement and create a master list.

You guys add your "new-age high-tech" labels to this thread, and be sure to add the shoe manufacturer that's advertising it. They have to be legitimate though, exactly what the shoe makers have in print somewhere.

We'll see what we can come up with.

Brooks Beast 10 (Shared by Zetti)

First, it employs a maximum motion control Impact Guidance Control...
DuoMax Support System...
gender-specific Space Trusstic fit...
Solyte midsole...
SpEVA cushioning.

  • Innovative placement allows the GOimpulse sensors to move together and independently
  • Dynamic interaction helps to enhance sensory feedback and to promote a more responsive run
  • M-Strike Technology™ promotes a Mid-Foot Strike
  • Radically lightweight - No extra material,( LOL ) no extra weight, nothing to slow you down
From Sketcher GoRun. yeah... no extra material there LOL

OK I can't find any real good copy for it... but Adidas partnered with Porche Design to create the "Sport Bounce: S"
Adidas-Bounce-S2-Black-Green_05.jpg

yes, those are honest to gawd rigid plates, hinges and machine springs!
Engineered with a car-inspired suspension system, the exclusive Bounce:S²
transfers vertical impact energy into forward propulsion.

:eek::eek:

sigh. I'm just shaking my head. I honestly don't know what to say about that picture. At least they aren't calling it barefoot!

Oh, and Wideguy, I gave you all the credit for the inspiration in that other thread. I hope you don't mind.

That video must be a prototype, because the boots on those shoes look homemade, and that heel is insanely high, even for a regular running shoe. That video shows someone stepping in the same general location over and over again. I'd like to see someone run in them.

Yes, I believe you. It's just that the boot in that video posted above looks like a baby bootie. ;)

Did you all notice the thickness in the forefoot of that shoe? Holy cow! Bad enough it has springs and shocks and struts and stuff. Wow, how did we humans ever survive this long without all that technology in our shoes? :barefoot:

Okay, I found another: ASICS GEL Kayano 18, here's some of the the description I found:

  • Guidance Line®
Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
  • Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®)
ASICS® design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe off.
  • Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Cushioning System
Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
  • Space Trusstic System®
This midfoot stabilizer creates a pocket between the Trusstic System® device and the midsole, allowing for controlled midsole deformation and more efficient foot function.

SPACE TRUSSTIC SYSTEM? I've discovered my feet work perfectly well without a space trusstic system, thank you.
