barefoot Running on the 'crete

Here's a video I made of running around in the neighborhood where I grew up.


I'm doing strides: short bursts of relaxed fast running, focusing on keeping my form together. Lately I've been trying to not bounce so much when I run and I think I look pretty decent here, as opposed to the following video from a few weeks ago
which really made me see how bouncy I am.

Nice running in both video's they both look normal at the speeds your running but I wouldn't worry about the bouncing...it looks like your trying to run slowly in the 2nd video. Your kid picture reminds of the little badazz kid from the Road Warrior movie.
 
Great videos...and your form looks awesome! You are so fast in your first video! At first I thought you sped it up :) I don't think you looked overly "bouncy" in either one :)
 
The bounciness became a concern after I got a calf strain. Since I've been focusing on driving FORWARD rather than bouncing, my calves have felt better and I can really feel the difference. It feels like much more of a difference than it looks. You might not think it's a big deal but 50+ miles/week of anything like that does take its toll. Thanks for watching!!
