OK, folks! What's your top 3...or 5....or whatev....songs to run to? What get's your arse up and off the couch and out the door on the most dismal of days just because it get's your running fires ragin'?!

In this moment, mine are:

1. ...and I have no idea WHY, but..."Waddaya want for me", Adam Lambert....to start a run.

2. "Beautiful Day", U2....another good starter

3. "I'm shipping up to Boston", Dropkick Murphys

I'm also diggin' The Clash, Foo Fighters, Daft Punk, Armin Van Buuren, and Katy Perry.

Most of the stuff on Rush's

Most of the stuff on Rush's Vapor Trails album... Particularly Ceiling Unlimited and Earthshine.

Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz.

Roundabout by Yes.

Right now I'm really into

Right now I'm really into Smashing Pumpkins: Tonight, Tonight and Bullet with Butterfly Wings. I also am really digging Vasoline and Plush (Acoustic version) by STP. Although sometimes I listen to Sinatra or Jason Miraz or Jack Johnson. It really depends on my mood.

I haven't ran with music

I haven't ran with music since I ditched the shoes, but I was always partial to the following:

Dokken - This Fire - from Lightning Strikes (Not "Into the Fire" from Tooth and Nail)

Iron Maiden - Hallowed be Thy Name - from Number of the Beast

Black Sabbath - Neon Knights - from Heaven and Hell

Motorhead - Ace of Spades - from Ace of Spades

Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love - from LZ II

Lynch Mob - River of Love - from Wicked Sensation

Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law - from Strong Arm of the Law

The Who - Baba O'Riley - from Who's Next

I'd loop these songs and just keep rockin'.

Cheers,

When I need to get in some

When I need to get in some miles and need a little inspiration I listen to:

The Rocky Road to Dublin: By the dubliners. It's catchy and I like the melody. First heard it on Patrick Sweeney's Blog

Catalyst: Linkin park

New Divide: Linkin Park

Free Bird: Do I really need to tell you the band?

Get over it: The Eagles

The Rain: Tech N9ne

Mosh: Eminem

Drop the World: Lil Wayne and Eminem

No love: Lil Wayne and Eminem

Cinderella Man: Eminem

Yeh, those will get my mood right.

Ske, either I'm really old or I'm really sheltered. Never heard of any of those. Are they newer music? Older?

Old and new really, just what was on my ipod today. I've got quite a varied music collection, a lot of it not quite mainstream. I also live in the U.K. so many of the bands i like may not have migrated overseas.
