Usually say hi or at least acknowledge anyone doing the same sport I am, running, biking, etc. Though if they are a barefooter I would make a special effort to say hello and point out our similar lack of footwear. I did the same thing when I wore VFF and it would sometime take a little hint that I was wearing the same thing.
