Had a very enjoyable barefoot run with Bernard on the hard-pack sand last night since it was low-tide... No moonlight, because of clouds, but the clouds seemed to reflect enough light from the nearby cities and homes, also our eyes adjusted, so it turned out to be a very pleasant 4 miles (2 miles out and 2 back) at about 60F ... no rain, just a handful of mist drops (or was that perspiration?).

Couple of spots in the shallow water as we rounded one outcrop of land (about half-way), there were a couple of spots where the bottom dropped out underneath my feet, and I went into the water up to my knees - very invigorating and keeps the legs cooled off. Then we went up the bank out of the water for the rest of that bit, and if we didn't go high enough up, there was the soft mushy sand, which absorbed most of the spring energy from my legs ... nice workout!

Most of the run was extremely flat, wet sand, and the soles of my feet were very clean afterward.

Thanks for the run report! Last night got 2.0 miles on brand new (somewhat frozen) HS track. 21*F
Feet felt sore. Then I walked 100 yrds through frosty grass to check on my chickens. That was actually painful.
