I did off season training for Special Olympics barefoot. And I wish I could use my status as the Barefoot Autism Challenge founder to convince gyms to let me be barefoot but they want me to not injure myself. Although my friend Chelsea who runs a fitness related website said doing weight lifting barefoot is safer than some people think.
