I am looking at organising a barefoot run for all the members of our chapter on BRS. Free to enter, no prizes, just for the hell of it. Where about in the country are you? Where would you like to see a run take place? Thanks Martyn
Hey Martyn, I'm Paolo from south London... what about Richmond park. That's a fantastic place for a run!
Dundee in Scotland Probs not the best place for a BF run though (esp. since most of you seem to be based down in England)... Hiking trails is usually pretty good (e.g. some stretches of the Fife Coastal Path here).
I'm another north of the Border (West Lothian); as Pes Planus said, there probably isn't much point organising anything here, though the hills are indeed great. I'd certainly consider coming south though!

Looks like you guys have some folks ready to get together for group runs. What say you, Martyn? Also, don't forget about Martyn's International Barefoot Running Day in Brighton on May 5 this year! Here's the details: http://www.thebarefootrunners.org/pages/ibrd_local_events_listing/ (Scroll to the UK.)
West Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest. There are so many of us here you would have thought that we would be for ever tripping over each other! See you in Brighton for the 5K if not before. Mark. (In Abu Dhabi this week and hoping to run on the F1 race track on Tuesday!)
I'm in Chesham in Buckinghamshire. I travelled to NY for work last year and met up with a BRS runner there: it would be good to make a shorter journey to meet like-minded people here!
Oh, and if you guys could please add yourselves to the Member Map on the site. It helps the chapter presidents to coordinate group runs by knowing where their members are located.
There do seem to be a lot of us down here. Any tips for good places around the new forest to run barefoot?
