Hi, I'm Ashley and I live in Gastonia, just outside of Charlotte. I'm a newbie barefooter, just started at the beginning of March.
Hi, Ashley. The NC chapter Hi, Ashley. The NC chapter president will be along shortly to help organize your chapter, group runs/meetups, etc.
Hey Ashley! I'm here in Hey Ashley! I'm here in Charlotte, been barefooting since January, and certainly not doing very well. I'll keep at it, though. Hello everyone else!
Hey Ashley -I live in Hey Ashley - I live in Madison, about 40 minutes north of Greensboro near the VA border. I've been barefoot since July.
Hey all,I'm just outside Hey all, I'm just outside Raleigh, in Holly Springs, NC. I've been barefoot running and minimal running for about 1.5 years now. Jon
If you guys are close enough If you guys are close enough to each other, Larry, you can organize a meetup/group run, get to know each other and learn from each other (how to run barefoot that is). (Use your Chapter page for scheduling and adding specific details about the meetup, like directions, photos, etc.) Post back here once you do. We would all love to hear more about your meetups. The main reason why the Barefoot Runners Society was formed was so we could find each other. Why just talk about running barefoot together...let's run barefoot together!
Hi, I have a couple of runs Hi, I have a couple of runs listed on the Main NC Chapter page. I will find more that are not coastal biased. ( I live on the Crystal Coast.) Thanks TJ for the help. I am new to this, and tend to be more technical.
See there?! That's what this See there?! That's what this whole project is all about. That's what we're about here at the BRS. Making connections with others who are as "nuts" as we are.
Hi Everyone, My name is Hi Everyone, My name is Eric and I live in Pineville (South Charlotte). I started my barefoot journey around the first of the year and it has had its ups and downs, but I’m back on track now.

Welcome, everyone! Karen, I Welcome, everyone! Karen, I didn't know you're a Carolina girl. Nice surprise.
Like Jon, I am also from Like Jon, I am also from Holly Springs. I have been running barefoot since January. So far, my longest BFR is 8 miles and I will run 20 miles this week. Between work and family it is hard to find time for much running. Hope to run with some of you soon. Steve
I am in New Bern, NC. I started running in November and went right to barefoot. I grew up in Gastonia on N. Rhyne St off of Modena St.
I guess I've never posted in here - I couldn't find where I had, anyway. I live in Fuquay Varina and work at Fort Bragg and would be glad to meet up with folks near either spot sometime.
Hi folks, On rare occasions I come back to Stateville, where my parents live. I attended city schools for a part of my primary education, but don't have any contacts there anymore. There are some excellent places to train barefoot, however (MacAnderson Park), recreation paths off Sullivan Road. If you live in Statesville or environs and want to go running, I'll be in town a few days in March - let me know... Christian
Phil, I am at Fort Bragg also and live in Hope Mills. I was starting to think I was the only barefoot runner around here. Do you do much barefoot running on post?
