I finished the Rock n Roll Marathon in a pair of VFF Trek Sports. They haven't posted my time yet but I was at least 4:30. I learned a lot. It was a great time.

I didn't know you guys were both there! I ran the half marathon, but it was in my Nike Frees. My right foot has been bothering me a bit, so I'm resting it from barefooting until the pain goes away.

BTW, did you guys see Fred Flintstone in his Vibram Bikilas?

I ran the Las Vegas Half Marathon with my VFF KSOs. Came in right on schedule with a time of 2:16:41. I had considered running it with a portion barefoot but decided to stay with the VFFs the whole way. I had lots of people ask me questions about them. Good opportunity for PR.

I saw a finish line photo of the guy who ran barefoot in a loincloth!

I think I saw you now that I see your profile pic. I was the big guy in the VFFs and a red puma shirt that said "I Run This Town".

Ya, I saw him. There weren't that many people with with VFFs or barefoot. I talked with Barefoot Todd after the race. He has ran 99 marathons barefoot. I also got into a argument with one of the guys at Expo about the lack of minimalist shoes being represented. He was very pro running shoe. Then I hung out with Scott Jurek and that made everything ok.

My friend ran in the Frees and made pretty good time. We both ran the full.

We stayed clear of most of the running shoe companies at the expo, other than New Balance to talk to them about their Minimus line. I wore my KSOs and my brother Scott wore his Bikilas though, so we got lots of questions about it.

And we also met Scott Jurek, he's awesome. Very cool, and very down to earth.

That's awesome Glen! People kept asking if I saw you after the race, but you were running way too fast for me to ever see you :).

Thanks guys! In hindsight I realize Rob and I should have hung out after the race longerto enjoy the band and beers and connect with other brs folks. I started to get a little cold in my loincloth though, lol. I spent most of the time after the race taking pics with other runners -- great times :)
