weird thing about BRS and Google placements

Hi, out of boredom I just went to Google and searched for two things.

First, "barefoot running". BRS was not on the first page of results. Looking back, we were #42.

Second, "barefoot runners". BRS was the #1 result.

I know nothing about SEO, but given the number of visitors this site has, it feels like something is wrong. Is there a very simple way to influence this, like changing a few keywords on the home page or something?

Well Google search results

Well Google search results don't just depend on page clicks, it depends on search terms within the site. That's why if you type in "Merrell Trail Glove Review" you'll get my review as #4 in search results, but if you just type in "Merrell Trail Glove" there won't be any reviews on the first page of results.

Since the top of our page says "Barefoot Runners" instead of "Barefoot Running", we'll get beat out by articles with the words "barefoot running" in the title every time, regardless of page clicks.

We have a member who works in

We have a member who works in SEO and has offered to optimize our ranking in the search results. I'm letting him settle in for a little while, then we'll get busy on this.

I notice that if you tag every image, that also helps.
