Ultra race in New England

A good place to start looking

A good place to start looking is here. It looks like there a few ultras in Mass. Mind the Ducks 12 hr in Rochester, NY is usually a popular race for the BF and mini crowd.

You do know about Pineland Farms?

www.pinelandtrails.com ?

There's a barefoot 5K on Saturday, followed by a 25K, 50K, and 50 miler. As for barefoot, Pineland is the only one I would even consider. I'll be running the 50 miler this year, and I will be shod. However, my first line of defense on any shoe problems will be to remove them. The Stone Cat 50 miler would be possible. I did the Stone Cat marathon a couple of years ago in invisible shoes, and although I wanted more shoe, I think it would be possible to complete.

It's not an ultra but you must attend the Boston Barefoot Running Festival Preston is coordinating. He was an original founder of the BRS as well. Check out the race, right in your backyard, here: http://bostonbarefootrunningfestival.com/ Also, be sure to join the Massachusetts Chapter under the Groups tab above if you haven't already.
