I'm excited to see how this study pans out.

About time there was a study on this. You would think that the idea would be obvious but maybe older people have a phobia on having their feet exposed. My mother was like that. She had terrible balance problems and I told her to walk around with bare feet to stimulate the nerves but she never would. I think she was embarrassed as she had so damaged her feet with footwear she didn't like people to see them.
I find it sad also that people put their very young children into shoes almost before they can walk. I'm not surprised that we have so many foot issues when we get older.
Common sense is not so common any more.

I think you're right. Older people think they NEED their shoes. It's all they've ever known. They will probably have trouble finding enough elderly people to conduct their study.

    Shoes from birth to death...sad.
