Started running barefoot at 40. That was over 4 years ago! I attribute much of my success to all the advise, support and positive criticism I've received on this forum. Two weeks ago I ran my third marathon and narrowly missed BQ at 3:16:17. Yesterday I broke 19 on a 5k (18:53). So, thank you!

Keep on trying Triing! You'll get the hang of it soon.

Really, though, that's superb running for anybody, most especially at this (miserable) time of year.

I forget...where in NJ are you?

Hahaha! Thanks. I'm by the shore. The marathon was in NY. It was pretty humid but what bothered me most was the chip and seal road and the sheer amount of debris. I had blisters on the balls of my feet and had to take a couple of days off running afterwards.

Awesome! Great times for both short and long distances. Not many here have broke the 20 minute barrier... maybe we should make a under 20 club? :D But I can't touch that marathon time, I slow down much more at that distance. Very impressive!

Well, yeah, I ran a 3:18 my first marathon....but that was in the early 1980's and more than 30 pounds ago.

Furthermore, I ran so badly I had to take about 25 years off to recover and find my way into BF running.
