Tell me about CEP compression socks/sleeves

I have Zensah sleeves which are hot and CXU which breathe well but are black. I am thinking about getting light colored compression socks or sleeves for my upcoming May race (it wa 80 degrees last year, maybe hotter, so I'm trying to do all I can to reduce heat retention). Are the CEP sleeves more wicking than the Zensah sleeves or a thinner material? I can't tell from the website. If you think they are better, why? I have super thin ankles and super thick calves.

For my marathon I wore CEP

For my marathon I wore CEP under the Zensahs. The Zensahs went with my outfit.... My CEPs provide better support and are not as hot at the Zensahs. I do however have the Zensah arm sleeves and they keep me quite cool....weird.

I think I might try them, then. I always look like hell at races anyway. I am really trying for this upcoming race, but I never prioritize looking good and I always regret it.
